A Poultry Federation Rooted in Unity and Quality
Chicken Traders’ Associations of Uganda (CTAU) is an indigenous poultry industry federation incorporated on 19 July 2019 under URSB No. 80020001975297. CTAU operates as an umbrella organization uniting poultry value chain actors, including farmers, traders, processors, input suppliers, transporters, buyers, and other industry stakeholders.
With over 20,000 traders signed up, CTAU provides a strong platform for unity, quality improvement, food security, advocacy, and market linkages within Uganda’s poultry sector.
We are committed to transforming poultry business from a hobby into a professional and profitable industry by promoting better standards, value addition, investment, innovation, and reliable market access.
Our work is guided by the belief that a strong poultry sector can create decent work, generate wealth, reduce waste, improve household incomes, and provide affordable, safe, and nutritious white meat for local, regional, and global markets.
CTAU brings together poultry farmers, traders, processors, input suppliers, transporters, and buyers to strengthen Uganda’s poultry value chain, promote food security, improve quality standards, and create market opportunities locally and globally.
